Thanks for the replies. It's too bad to hear that some 2014s still have the same problems the 2013s have.

It might be from some of the earlier batch 2014s.

Haven't checked when mine was made, but it's a MY2014 and haven't had any chirping or condensation issues. Haven't even noticed a rattle yet.

Got my '14 on New Years day, so far the only issue I have is the idling torque* dip

*Edit: I meant RPM

Are you talking about the idle dip while sitting in neutral at a light or the torque dip when accelerating? Two different things mashed into one up there.

Having the front defrosters on uses the A/C compressor exacerbating the idle dip at the light, try turning it off when your windows get clear, the dip will likely still persist but it won't be as severe.

Ah, nice catch. I mistyped, I meant idling RPM dip. This happens with all climate/defroster systems off, as well.

I talked to a guy today and he said that apparently Subaru bought back his first BRZ because of unresolved issues and he got another one which has been largely worry-free. So, I dunno. Mine's a late 2013 and it's fine for the most part.

I know it's hard to spell Porsche, but at least misspell it consistently.

Seriously though; don't think there's much different beyond what folks have already posted - my late model year 13 is having no issues beyond mild tail light condensation... so my guess is the issues are just as intermittent in both model years.

Too true. In this case the misspelling was to convey how he and I were pronouncing the name differently. He was literally saying porch, like the thing off the back of the house.
