OICU812 Where are you planning to get your car tuned? I'm back down in Vancouver now, so it's easy for me to skip over to Drift Office in Washington, but with a SD tune is there any place around you that will be able to help you get up and running? Or are you planning to keep the Carb tune?

Well I'm looking at 2 options. Timeline being April-Mid May 2014 as cars parked. One is drive to Drift Office install and tune there. Or have kit shipped and let Vex in Calgary have a go at it.

Shipping the car cross country will cost between $500-$2000 each direction depending on what kind of transport you opt for.

Correct. It cost $800 to ship my car from Los Angeles to Baltimore on a standard open car carrier. Took less then a week. Overall, it went pretty well.

Does this kit change the everyday street driving so much that it can't be daily driven?

Everyday driving is perfect. Smoother than stock idle, quiet, much better merging capability, the list goes on and on. I have friends that think it is completely stock.

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread...

I've been following this build and the other JR thread and every time I read a post I get more and more excited!

Is there anybody local (Irvine, CA) running this setup I could ride shotgun and experience it first hand? I'll even throw in a tank of gas for your time :-)

It does NOTHING that makes it "less driveable". It idles, runs, and passes emissions like stock, but with about 70whp more (assuming you do the CARB tune). If you have supporting mods, you can make significantly more power.
