Sweet!! Could you try on your ROTA wheel/tires with your stock struts on first. Interested in the front inner clearance. Oh, and pics of that, please.

Have you diven on the RS3s before? If not, be warned, they have a very different feel than most other ST tires. They're very mushy and offer very little in terms of feedback.

We run a 255 on a 9" rim on an STX RX-8 somewhere in the 35-36 range, adjusting for balance.

nope... been a while since I ran street tires ...ran my Speedwagon(FSP) on R Comps ..locally and regionally it was fairly competitive *unless a national level car competed against me..where I was about 2.0 secs down to the leaders.. the last nationally competitive car I had was my 2005 STi..Thanks sooo much for the info...very helpful..so basically just throw the car into it and hope it sticks kinda thing???

Very much so. You have to feed the tires a lot of slip angle for them to work properly. Even then, while the car is sliding, you can still turn the wheel more and the tires will continue to grip. It's very strange.

Ok. So Building for Mostly Autocross use, with the 3 or 4 track days a year.

Opinions on 1st thing I should do to the car (getting the door stabilizer 1st but after that)

Tires. You won't get much argument if you choose either the Star Specs or the RS3z.

Congrats on the car man. Still gonna be interesting to watch your build.

What alternative shocks/suspension setup do you think you'll look at if the Konis are off the table? Or are you going to run it stock for awhile and test it out first?
