Jackson Racing has been testing this setup on their cars for months now. Since we desperately needed an engine oil cooler and didn't know where to put it... we decided to go with their setup.

The Supercharger's oil cooler gets relocated further right (looking from the front) toward the driver's side, while the Engine oil cooler is located directly next to it on the passenger side. The engine oil cooler has been specifically sized to maximize airflow through the front bumper opening, and through the intercooler for supercharged applications.

For those that want this oil cooler on a NA application, a separate bracket will be available, locating the oil cooler in the center.

We tested this past weekend at the first 2014 86CUP event, and took First place with the fastest time of the day! Engine oil temps were rock solid stable, and never got over 240F, even when we were drafting other cars for laps at a time (drafting results in less airflow through the front bumper opening, because the air is extremely turbulant behind another car).

I really reallly dislike having having all that stacked up in the front of the car like that, seems so innefficient. Sure it works well in clean air but what about sitting in idle in traffic? Id love to see the logs for that. or ...

I've been seeing this allot. Subaru denying claims. Wouldn't happen with Toyota. There is a Rav4 in the shop at my dealership that had 200k miles on it and Toyota is paying for a complete engine rebuild 140k miles after the factory warranty expired!

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it Subi fans.

Already got that

No issues there, at least, not in CARB legal trim.

I've yet to see ECT even hit 200F, in traffic or on track.

For now; it won't be here much longer. We want the temps to be lower; that's what this engine likes.

Is that a Series 9 oil cooler? what size is that?
Looks wider then the Series 6 for the compressor...but maybe it's the picture?

Astute observation! It's a Series 9 cooler

Now that the oil temps aren't soaring with the boost, the car is feeling substantially stronger. More specifically, it's not dropping in power as the oil heats up.

Mmmm

On the other hand, it still doesn't stand a chance against a 2013/2014 GT500.
