So I drove the car around on Monday-Wednesday this week, and here are my impressions street driving.

- The kit makes more power EVERYWHERE in the powerband, whether you're full throttle, or just gentle on the gas and driving completely normal.
-- Even at part throttle, the car pulls more than WOT stock. By a lot.
- The kit makes noticeably more torque, even when starting from a stop, so you'll need to get used to giving the car less gas when you start from a stop, or you'll slip the clutch more than you intended to.
- The kit REALLY pulls up top. After 6k RPM, you're REALLY moving.
- The kit's noise is virtually imperceptible to anyone who doesn't know what to look for.
- The low-rpm off-throttle noise is addicting, and people familiar with aftermarket centrifugal superchargers will recognize the noise.
- The kit doesn't suffer from heavy heat soak at all.

On a side note, I had some seat time in an Aston in the past few days. Dat V12.

A brief comparison with @Drift Office's Jackson Racing kit with custom tune and supporting mods.

For comparison purposes.... the kits are identical, and both use the same pulley. This is how dramatic the difference is with breathing mods with a supercharger. DO NOT use catless pipes with the CARB tune. The CARB tune is intended for cars with both OEM catalytic converters.

You can see how linear the gain is with breathing mods. As exhaust gas flow linearly increases, the power gain also linearly increases. Both kits eliminate the factory torque dip. Also of note, is that the torque dips present in the Kraftwerks kit is not present in the Jackson Racing CARB tune.

Jackson Racing CARB tune
- CA 91 octane (E10)
- OEM header
- OEM front pipe
- OEM exhaust

Drift Office SD tune
- Washington 92 octane
- HKS EL catless header
- Motiv catless front pipe
- unknown exhaust

I like the kit, exactly what I want, super stealthy and a healthy boost in power without losing driveability. I'll have to look into this

Some thoughts and conclusions from this weekend:

- an oil cooler is a must for tracking with FI (we already knew this, but wanted to see just how much it affects the car, short of getting TOO hot or doing any damage to our car).
- The extra low/midrange torque is NICE.
- The power is not sustainable without an oil cooler (this was also obvious, but we wanted a tangible, real world result). The ECU pulls timing, reducing output to protect the engine
-- A S2000 lightly modified S2000 still out-accelerates the Jackson Racing Supercharged BRZ, when the BRZ's oil temp gets hot.
- When the oil is not too hot, the Jackson Racing Supercharged BRZ out-accelerates a S2000

- Stock tires wear rather slowly. They're also really, really fun to drive on.

Any idea what oil cooler you will be going with that works with the JR kit?

If our oil cooler/radiator combo testing is successful, then that is what we will be using. It will be an upgrade for the factory radiator, that contains an oil-to-water oil cooler as well.

If not, then we will most likely use the (soon to be released) Jackson Racing oil cooler, as it is specifically designed to be modular with the Supercharger.

The Perrin cooler is also useable with minimal modification.

What made you want to start with the Jackson SC as opposed to any other SC kit? Looking forward to more testing and seeing what would be the best CARB-legal SC kit

The simplicity, how cool it runs, and our past experience with the Rotrex. Jackson Racing's strong reputation helped as well.

We have had the opportunity to sample virtually every FI option on the market before we chose to make our purchase (yes, the kit is purchased, not sponsored).
