The clutch adjustment was one of my favorite mods. Much more intuitive to drive now.

Been driving wusswagons then. 86 is silk smooth and fluffy comparable to a clutch that gives you a workout.

My Ferrari F355 was in the shop at the time I got my FR-S. When I picked up the F355 after the repair a week later, I mentioned that the clutch was harder to press than usual... the tech said that I am too used to driving the FR-S. Going back and forth between the cars takes a bit of getting used to since the F355 clutch is tighter, engages lower and is more responsive. I kind of like the easier to press in clutch of the FR-S, but would like it to engage lower like the F355.

Wow I had no idea that we can adjust the engagement point. I have def been pretty annoyed with the "late engagement". This is awesome!

Hmm thanks that's interesting. I don't quite understand how lowering the clutch pedal would make a "dead spot" on top, and why it would decrease the resistance. So why does that happen?

I find it interesting that on the miata forum, most folks felt the clutch engaged too low; on the FR-S forum, many folks feel the clutch engages too high ... why can't "they" get it in the "center" ...?? ...
