Question: If I have an ecutek licence with the new update that just came out that we can upload any custom map made by ourself, does it mean that I can just download an OFT map, open it up on some opensource program, save it and load it up using ecutek cable....?

Correct my win8 pc with usb3 loads files a little over a minute. its your configuration not ecutek causing long flashing process.

I only tried VMware virtualization and it took 5+ minutes to load a file. With bootcamp it takes about a minute.

Maybe I should have tried parallels...

With Parallels it takes me about 5+ mins -__-
I will use BootCamp instead if it is faster.

if you're using parallels, make sure you have the 'parallels tools' installed on the windows installation. not 100% sure it'll make a difference, but it may be why some folks are seeing reduced usb speeds (using a generic driver or something).

Has the update been rolled out yet? I bumped into Chris from @EcuTek earlier and he said it should be up and working, but I've updated and yet to see any new menus.

Am I just being stupid?

I'm going to be waiting like a dog at the window for this Fedex guy to show up today. My productivity at work could suffer, sadly .
