it's not in the current retail version, but that's definitely a feature i'd request for a future update.

Its in the dealer version but only allows you to compare roms of the same model and racerom patch. So mixing and matching isnt allowed.

So just to bump this thread with further information...

I have been toying with ecutek's software quite a bit as of late. The custom maps are FANTASTIC. Absolutely worth the money. I have been wanting a platform with a polished setup like this for a while. I really hope they expand on the input fields, and allows us to abuse some extra outputs... but even as it sits this is great. Making cold starts on E85, flex fuel, and other odd bits work is just simply easy.

My only big pet peeve is the sheer time my flash time has been taking. On my current VM i am at roughly 4-4.5 minutes. Which puts me at over 10+hrs of simply waiting while my laptop is flashing an ecu (i am at roughly 150 flashes to date so far). Great work guys, this was what this community needed. I plan on posting up some threads on different E85 techniques, map switching techniques, and other bits soon.

I just wish I had a running car so I could progress faster, having to borrow locals cars has been a royal PITA. Just imagine what I would have played with if my own car had an engine in it lol...

Flashing from Bootcamp takes about a minute. I used to have about the same flash time on VM.

Tested on a friends laptop at around the same time. I need to reinstall a bootcamp install and test. The usb performance of osx 10.9 + parallels 9 doesn't seem quite as fast as my old setup. Two months ago.

i was a bit upset with the flash times as well, but really that's a first world problem man . it takes me maybe 3-4 minutes through parallels, where brzedit and ecuflash take under 2 minutes. ecuflash is actually the fastest by a wide margin, on my computer.

i know i'd probably be well advised to use bootcamp for stability's sake if nothing else, but i have a retina macbook pro with the small ssd and i can't warrant allocating a big heap of disk space to another windows install, as i couldn't get rid of parallels anyway because i use it to test work on internet explorer (damn you internet explorer!).

i'll probably buy a dedicated tuning laptop sooner or later, macbook air with bootcamp.

Buy a dedicated lap top, you can get referb tough books for a good price, then max the ram in it. The entry level tough books always have seemed to lasted me the longest. currently on an hp as I could not pass up the deal and the last toughbook got ran over (long story). sorry to thread jack.

how much do used toughbooks run? i've always wanted one but i remember them being crazy expensive. that's about the perfect solution if the price is right.
