I did not "move the goal posts". I just posted a video that explains why some people still want a manual. I did not argue anything against autos. I also did not introduce a new topic. This is the Supra thread, and my post was relevant to the current discussion. |

For a 14 lb/hp FR car like the FT86, 55/45 F/R distribution is not much of a handicap. At new Supra power/weight of ~9 lb/hp, 50/50 is *definitely* a much better place to be for overall performance potential. Not that 50/50 is "perfect", more rearward distribution should be even better...

I was only pointing out that the left foot would have plenty to do if the car is being driven at optimum performance.

Does anyone think the white reverse lights will be any more useful than the one on the 86?

If you are referring to the trapazoid light in the center then I think that could be the reverse light, but it is primarily or is actually a racing inspired flashing brake light that is activated under heavy braking.

^It has been hinted that one could show up a little later down the road.

I think it was hinted for a manual if it came with the 4cyl as well.
Why bother doing a full swap etc on a BRZ putting you back how much if you could get into a Supra at $45k(fair price) and get a stiffer chassis with better center of gravity and a very well engineered block(B58 block is closed deck etc)
