Is the JDM headlight harness different for the 86's? I know the tail lights are. And if they are different will there be a plug n play version for us or will I be slicing wires?

The guys saying your losing the hibeams, uh... they are h1's which are bixenon. Meaning there is a little door that flicks open when you engage your hibeam to release the cutoff.

I'll be ordering these soon enough

An H1 bulb is not an HID (bixenon) bulb, it's a single filament halogen bulb. With that being said though, aftermarket companies will offer an HID version of this bulb to fit the H1 socket.

I am wondering that can I use my current HID kit?

Or can I at least keep my current ballast? How?

If the bulb sizes aren't changing, it shouldn't be a problem.

The diode dynamics kits we sell are confirmed to fit the OEM housing and also these Winjet ones so if you have a diode dynamics kit it fits both just fine.

The low-beam cutoff line isn't impressive at all, IMO. Will other people even care, probably not.
