F-type. Only because every time you lift off it sounds completely unhinged.

With the stock wheels and tyres on a straight freeway it is stable for a light car and tram railing (twitchy steering) is minimal.
However when big fat tyres are fitted , it is like fighting with the steering wheel to keep it in a straight line.

Yes, it's very interesting to drive knowing that you're getting 30+mpg going @65-70mph on cruise control on the freeway.

Well - I'm doing it. Now to pick a color, I suppose. It would be easier if they didn't all look so damn good.

i think the strength of this car is its versatility. you can drive for several hours comfortably to a track day, race around a bit, and drive back. then, the next day you can use it as a daily driver. in a pinch, you can ferry small kids around in the back, or fold down the seats and rent a shopvac.

if this appeals to you, it's a good choice. if you value multimedia in your car, or strong starting torque, then not so much

I'm going to go against the flow here. I had to drive 2,000km down a truck infested highway last week, so I hired a Commodore (Chevrolet SS).

As much as the Dunnydore is a piece of shit, I commented about 100 times that I was glad I wasn't driving the 86 ... and lamented not having the 86 maybe a dozen times.

If I were doing that week in, week out - a BR86 would not be my car of choice, but I'd still have one in the garage for weekends.

It is nice indeed. I just came back from LA this weekend, driving back on I-5. My average speed was 85 mph about 80% of the drive - I averaged about 90 miles per 1/4 tank :]

The answer is yes! That's the true beauty of this car. It is the perfect base, and you can build it to be whatever you want. I feel in that way it will always fit everyone's tastes, well enthusiast tastes lol. It's also a very comfortable dd.

I live in Omaha, NE... not exactly the Nurburgring in terms of driving excitement. Most of our roads are laid out in a grid and "twisty mountain passes" are not common. Therefore, 85% of my driving is going to be on normal roads with not much more than a long on ramp or occasional hairpin to stretch the BRZ's muscle. At that point, I'm driving a 200-hp coupe with not much torque more than a perfectly-balanced instrument of corner-carving.

For those of you who live in the middle of the country, is this still a fun car to drive day-after-day? Or do you wish you had gone with something more powerful and less handling-focused?

(I'm now cross-shopping the BRZ with a '11-12 Mustang GT and an oddball choice, a Z3 Coupe, for reference)
honestly i feel like most answers you'll get are fan boy answers. If i was you, i would get the 5.0 mustang.
