First long run with stage2 93 tune, stock apart from K&N air filter. I was a bit nervous and took my laptop and cables just in case. Anyway from Texas to Knoxville Tennessee including horrendous 2.5 hr traffic jams and detours in LA it performed like a champ. Torque dip is much reduced. Total of 1,050 miles at 32.3 mpg loaded with luggage and wife!

The stage 1 is designed for a completely stock vehicle, while stage 2 assumes a quality header and at least high flow intake filter. That said, either tune will work well for either level of modification. If I had to choose in your position, I'd choose the Stage 2.

Sincerely,

Delicious Tuning

Why is there no stage 2 e85 tune? Is it because a full exhaust doesn't do much on NA e85 compared to stock exhaust NA e85?

If so, should I just be using 91 once I have a full exhaust NA since I won't see much improvement on e85? It would definitely be cheaper since I'm using ~30% more fuel with e85.

And I won't have to deal with driving/finding e85 stations.

Hey Gonzo,

While there is no formal Stage 2 E85 tune, utilizing a quality header combined with E85 will net you some additional top end and completely eliminate the torque dip. While E85 makes big power gains, the dip is still there. With a quality header all of that changes. PM me if you'd like to get that set up. Also keep in mind that E85 is also about 30% cheaper so cost wise it evens out, and you end up with a lot more power on tap.

Sincerely,

Delicious Tuning

How long would it take to run a dyno tune with the ecutek stage2 tune? Also wondering about purchashing the flex fuel kit with lines and ethanol sensor. Also I sent you a message thru your website yesterday.

Our NA tunes are completely dialed in. Plug and play. You literally just flash it and go, we haven't had a need for revision on an NA tune in quite a while. As far as the flex fuel kit goes, it's nearing completion but not quiiiite ready yet. We don't check the website regularly, so it's always best to message me on here or send me an email to sales@delicioustuning.com

Sincerely,

Delicious Tuning

Is the OFH considered a "quality header?"

And 30% cheaper? I'm lucky to get a 13% spread in San Diego -_-

I'm in San Diego, Vista to be specific. The E85 station down the street from me is about $3.65 whereas the 91 next to my house is $4.55-4.75 on a given day. I'm not crunching numbers too hard but that's about 25-30% no?

Sincerely,

Delicious Tuning

I'm downtown, east village to be specific, and I resentfully stare at the 76 and its cash price of $4.23 everyday. My two e85 stations cost more than yours

But then again, I don't have to wait in that line at 76 to fill up

Do you guys have any experience tuning OF headers? What's the word on their results?
