Nope. But if your ltft is at 7% you might want to add a gallon of 91 to richen it up

There is really no reason to adjust your gasoline/ethanol mixture based on LTFT. The purpose of LTFT is to do just that, adjust fuel trims to account for variance in fuel formulation. The only time you should consider adding gasoline to your ethanol mix is if your ethanol mix is very strong (90+ %). And only then because you may have cold starting problems with such a strong mixture.

If he's getting 7% LTFT I bet his cold starts aren't awesome either. It seems we've been getting some high ethanol in SoCal pretty frequently lately. I have been getting this high ethanol e85 lately and my trims have to add fuel, my AFR at WOT is in the 13s rather than 12s, and cold starts are harder. Each time if I add about a gallon of 91 into the tank my trims get closer to zero, WOT AFRs are in the 12s, and cold start is easier.

I've been on E85 for about 40 miles when a fault code popped up. It is P0462. The funny thing is my check engine light didn't come on. The ABS light & slip light came on. I believe this code is for the Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Input. My car is definitely not low on fuel. Anybody else get this code after switching to E85? I also topped off my tank today with more E85 because I was only able to get 10.6 gallons on my initial fillup. The needle on my gas gauge now doesn't go to full. I wonder if E85 doesn't play nice with this sensor. My car is 100% stock.

I've never had that and I can't imagine e85 has anything to do with it either...maybe just coincidence. Have you tried resetting the ECU to see if it comes back?

I cleared the code with the OFT. It hasn't come back but I also haven't driven a lot of miles since I cleared it. I wonder why my gas gauge doesn't go to full anymore.

So, I'm half way through my second tank of E85 and the car had some difficulty starting up this morning at around 40 degrees temps. Would be nice to have the cold start enrichment tweaked to avoid that. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the power increase with the E85 map. I imagine when the headers installed it would make the amount of power that it should have from the factory, almost S2000 territory with power output.

First tank I got about 19.1MPG's, this second tank will be about the same. should hit 190 miles before the low fuel indicator light comes one. With 91 gas I'd get about 24~25MPG with the same kind of driving. +15-20 some-odd WHP and TQ at the 5.5MPG penalty. Not a bad trade off. Very nice job, again, Vishnu.

Remember, this penalty also comes with cheaper fuel so that lost mileage doesn't hurt your wallet as much as it is just an inconvenience in range.

It actually cost about the same around here. Maybe a 10 cent difference to 91 octane.

Our Stage 2 E85 OTS map tested on stock car

$3.85 at shell/91 octane and e85 $2.99 in San Jose or $3.19 in Hayward. $3.09 in Fremont? It's a win win for me.

I paid 3.69 per gal for E85.... My long term fuel trims are consistently above 5%, so maybe it also has higher ethanol content.
