Sounds to me like a very misleading title. If I see the words "confirmed" plus "!" that implies to me that the president of Subaru has just personally called you to tell you first hand that it is confirmed.

The OP and/or Edmund's is giving us

Bullshit.
Edmund's goes on to say:

What's New for 2014

For 2014, the Subaru BRZ is essentially unchanged apart from gaining standard smartphone integration.

Well, I hear from the last concept, the Convertible Ft86 would cost 33k+ to produce to to the market. Toyota concerned that it would scare away the people.

Who knows if they decide to release a limited productions for it, or not at all.

Sounds like it will not get the green light more than 50%

I'd buy one. I love convertibles (probably why I have owned two Miatae). However, given this article that I read it seems unlikely we'll see a drop-top version of either car any time soon.

Not buying even if it is confirmed. Convertibles are usually heavier than their coupe counterparts, a few hundred lbs, and not even a power increase. Handling will be affected greatly.

Not interested in a convertible at all. Like my coupe just fine.
