I have personal experience with Stance. So do tons and tons and tons of friends of mine. Out of over 5 years of all of us using their products on the street and the track, I have still yet to hear of a single issue/failure from anybody, nor have I experienced one myself.

Their customer service is absolutely fantastic as well. 95% of the people who actually drift their cars on this forum use Stance coils and most also use their LCAs as well. Stance also makes different types of coilover systems. There are normal sport plus' which are like the entry level. Then they have those with swift springs as an upgrade, and then they have 2-way and 3-way systems with external resevoirs.

After a personal experience with BCs and their products/company, which I won't publicly discuss on this forum, I chose not to ever do business with them.

Lots of people have BCs and have no issues. Lots of people here have BCs and do have issues. A personal friend of mine just installed some on his car and had to run over 25mm of spring preload just to keep from the popping noise to keep happening. Seems like a hit or miss kind of thing.

I just prefer Stance. Always have. Always will.

Im running stance coils lowered around 4-5" and im loving them. Alot of my friends have had bc br fail on them. Ride is not so bad, though i prefer a stiff ride over a soft so dont take my word. I have done a few autox days and after playing around with the damper setting the coils felt really nice around the turns.

Also guys he said his budget is 1500, idk why you keep on saying get the FA500 when they are already past his budget. Also to the OP, I would never spend more then 1800 on coils unless you are going to track your car often (more then just 2 times a year.) For this I would choose Stance > BC BR. Stance SS are also a inverted mono-tube which make them little stronger.

...they're $1200. 1200<1500

With swift springs they're only $25 overbudget (save for shipping)

My point is after a budget is established how is one suppose to decide on which brand/model to get. One can read reviews about $700 Ebay specials that are "wow!! these made my car handle so good plus they have 80 clicks of adjustment and I now take that corner 100mph faster!!" You can also read that Mr Racer has Uncle Toby's fitted but I am suggesting that Mr Racer would do equally as well on a similar quality shock. I would suggest that 99.999999999% of people don't buy more than one set of coilovers/struts at a time to do back to back comparisons. This is just not feasible. Maybe it just comes down to price. That is, at a similar price point all struts/coilovers are similar in performance/quality.

Swift Springs add on.

I personally would look into BC Racing but opt for the Swift Springs upgrade. The swift springs coils on the BC damper are hard to beat and if i am not mistaken should still be within your budget.

From what I've seen and read people have gone fast with BC and others have done the same Fortune Auto. "Fast" as in winning various local amateur competitions with them. Whether they used off-the-shelf stuff or custom built, I'm not sure. From a spec sheet perspective, the Fortune Auto stands out with the digressive valve and the quality of components used to build them (according to their marketing material at least). From end user feedback I've seen, there seems to be some common complaints about the BC top mounts making weird noises. I've not read anything negative about the fortune auto set.

Stance.... I've worked on a FR-S with them. Not a lot of suspension stroke with these. I think they get the same complaints about top mount noises as the BC.

If I were in your shoes, I'd shell out that extra bit of money for the fortune auto dampers.
