One thing wrong with this system I see is that the air intake is mounted low in the rear section. Get into an area with even modest amount of water...what happens to the turbo or the engine? I heard from former mini cooper owners before they changed the air intake to be higher that driving through a low pool of water say 1 ft to 18 inches (only a guess in height) would cause serious amount of damage.

The system looks very interesting... You can't always control what kind of obstacles in front of you even in SoCal where some parts flood. I know Arizona few folks weren't so lucky. I wonder how this would be address...otherwise looks like a neat way to get good power. If the turbos kick in at around 2000 RPM I say that would be great, but I don't see any information of how soon it goes... can't tell from their dyno graphs.

Carb legal turbo is very interesting... like to know how they solve the rainy season driving down lightly flooded streets?

Well finally got the kit installed after waiting 3 months. I will make this short and sweet The hardware for the kit all looking good /good welds / solid looking turbo / pretty good instructions / etc. The install went good as well! everything fit properly like it was supposed to and looks quite clean. THE BAD: STS has horrible customer service... Every email I have from them does not have any of my questions answered (almost like they were hiding something) and every phone call left me with unanswered questions due to their sales rep not knowing. THE EXTREMELY BAD: On the day I went down there to pickup the kit (Friday) I was informed that they would do the tune and that it will be ready Monday thus I was a go for installing over the weekend and tuning first thing Monday. Come Monday I received an email saying "I am sorry to say STS will not be able to provide a tuning solution for your car today or ever". Arguably one of the most important aspects of going forced from NA and they left me out to dry. *FACE PALM* FYI I cant judge the performance as I am still waiting for an opening on a local dyno tuner

My motor blew up on the dyno. Unknown reasons. I got the motor fully built by maperformance and should be ready for a dyno in 3 weeks or so. STS is not quite dead, the original owner of the company Rick Squires bought out most of the rights for STS. He mentions on his website that he will be bringing it back.

I've been in contact with Rick Squires via email. He is currently building the kits and selling them if you contact him. He is working on an updated install guide now and currently has a BRZ in his shop getting a kit installed.

I know STS went under but I was wondering if anyone had the dyno for this turbo kit. Searching leads me to sites that had it linked to the STS site and are therefore gone. This is really just to pique my interest on the whole rear mount turbo thing.

I also checked out Roadstercycle's thread but didn't see a dyno.
