Yeah I was gonna ask if I missed what header it was for $600? I've read time and time again the Borla EL ain't that great. Wonder what it would look like *without* the header.

How did you do the swith over to e85, did you have to drain the tank fully, or could we fill up with e85 with a gallon of 91oct mixed in?

I've been anxiously waiting for this tune. Looks like the bayarea has a good selection of E85 stations. This is a link to locate E85 stations and other good information regarding E85.

@garfull, I've been on e85 for the last 10k miles and fill up mainly in San Jose and Redwood City. I've only ever seen fluctuations between 75-81%. I think the advertised minimum is 70% too. Not sure if they change the blend for The winter... but I guess I'll find out soon

I should have some info on this soon

And to answer garfull's question, running your tank low (not necessarily empty) is all you would need to do to run the E85 map. I think I had about 1 gallon of residual 91oct in there before I filled up with E85 before I dyno tested the car. Now I'm running straight E85 (filled up twice already) and no change to the tuning requirements. Also, I don't expect this car to be particularly sensitive to fluctuations in E85 formulation as it gives more than enough cooling and octane than any NA car will ever need. What a fantastic fuel!

Yep. Will be testing an UEL version of the header next week to see the difference (if any).

Hard to give a fair mpg number because I've been trashing the car around relentlessly for testing purposes. But if expect a 20-25% reducing mpg all things equal.

in those 10,000 miles have you replaced anything due to the faster wear and tear e85 causes?

Only been running e85 in the frs for a few hundred miles. Apart from a more frequent oil change schedule (every 2-3k miles) there really is no increased wear and tear to speak of. This has been the case of every e85 tuned car I've driven in the last 10 years. The reason for the more frequent oil changing is because of a faster oil contamination rate when running ethanol.
