Thanks!

We recommend either 5000k or 6000k HIDs as they are more practical for street use and improving visibility over factory halogen bulbs.

5000k or 6000k would be best for most useful light. Anything higher will be blue and unusable light, actually makes it harder to see. I went with the retro source morimoto makes quality stuff, I've also heard very good things about HID powerhouse.

Our HID kits for the FR-S start at $89 and the ballasts come with a lifetime warranty.

If you want the most usable output, go with 4300K as that is the OEM color for most Automotive manufacturers. 6000K is the best combination of looks and light output and it's what I always recommend and install in my cars. 6000k matches our switchback LED's extremely well too!

Feel free to PM me if you need more information, we've tested the FR-S extensively and our kit works really well in the factory projector style housing

Thanks!

Of course the retro mod is the best but TRS also offers HID PnP kits.

This was a customer submitted photo, he made no modifications at all to the housing or anything.

Simply installed our kit and took this picture

If you guys want to learn more about lighting, send me a PM! Even if you don't want to purchase from us, I'm still here as a resource for you guys

Thanks,
Nick C.

some low grade trolling for those that are always chasing after the color of high end cars. this was done with a 4200k hid bulb

At least cover the squirrel finders when using the stock projectors with HIDs.

Best bang for buck would be the retroquick kit from TRS (google it, im on the phone).

Yep, colorful cutoff is what people are seeing and then go buy 8000k kits to blind me on my way home from work...

I also got a kit from the retrofit source, and it was good bang for the buck. I didn't much enjoy baking the headlights, but in the end it all worked out ok. The 6000k bulbs from the retrofit source are pure white, and much brighter than stock.
