The only major glitch I have had so far was a repeated "An error occurred while reading data from DME. Please try again." I got this every time I initially tried to read my ECU. I was making the error of turning my engine on though and not just turning the car to ON with the engine off. So to all other newbs out there, take my poor example as a lesson.

Has anyone else tried loading 2 maps onto the Tablet in addition to the Original? I first tried that, (to try out the difference between 1.2 and 1.3) but it seemed to cause the tablet to freeze with a white screen when plugging it into the OBD II port. I have since removed both and re-uploaded just the 1.3 and all works perfect, just curious if there is maybe a memory restriction on the tablet if we try to have multiple maps loaded on it.

Yeah I'm good now on Windows 8 now that I'm running OpenFlash manager 1.03
I had to flash my ecu back to stock before reading and writing with OFT, but no issues on my end as the procedure is pretty much the same as Ecutek

I also loaded 1.2 map in bank 2 and 1.3 map in bank 3 with no issues whatsoever

I like this, I would imagine it would prevent 'bricking' the ECU with a wrong or bad ROM. A dreadful problem with opensource tuning the Evo X.

Yes for sure! I tested this by trying to load an incorrect rom to one of the memory bank locations, which ended up with an error message. I then tried a rom with correct ID and it loaded fine. Great feature with OFT

Question , do you up date the OFT first before you read ur stock ECU rom , or does it matter for intail set up ....



Also is the Tabelt locked to my frs , or can use it on my brothers frs as well ...

It doesn't really matter when you update the OFT or when you read the ROM. They are completely unrelated processes. You can use your OFT on your brother's FRS, but only the diagnostic functions (code reading/clearing and soon, datalogging/viewing). However, the read/writing functions can only be used on one car at one time.
