Further, you can't directly compare USDM NC and ZN6 to their UK versions. You don't know what either Mazda or Subaru adds or subtracts from their cars unless you did your research (you didn't). Maybe the UK spec BRZ comes comparatively stripped vs the US version. Maybe the UK hardtop comes fully loaded compared to the US one.

So there is the possibility, even if it's hard to believe. And if it is true, the difference is just 10 kg, which is 20-something pounds.
Well just to make sure you have a nice warm and fuzzy feeling I reran the numbers based on the listed curb weight in the article and Mazda's official listing for their UK Miatas, using their heaviest model to give the BRZ the benefit of the doubt and....

The BRZ is still heavier. Again, I would like to know where they are pulling their numbers from.

I saw that. Personally I am jealous...I would rather have knobs and buttons on the radio, and 99.99% of the time when I am driving my car I know where I am going.

Now Mazda has to retaliate against the new kid on the block in a future design. And the 370Z is almost due for a generation refresh - I wonder how refreshing they will make it.

I believe they've given up on the rx7-rx9 and are focusing on the miata
