He only ever pressed the clutch in to start the damn thing. Drove that truck that way for 3 years in highschool before he blew it up going off roading lool.
How is this possible without roasting the clutch or the engine just stalling???

I could do it with my 1968 Mini! It was a pretty exact science of getting the revs to the point where it slipped into the next gear (slowly) with no clutch, grinding or anything. Took a while to get used to it but I had no choice cos my clutch was stuffed and I had no money to fix it!

I don't give any throttle every single morning during warm up when I am pulling out of our very small neighborhood. I just go between first and second.

I've gotten up to 17mph in 6th which really isn't much.

Both my Cayman and my Outback (2007 2.5I basic) can do this as well. It's a bit challenging in the Cayman though, due to a somewhat tall first gear and a fairly heavy, sticky clutch.

Then you should learn to drive - even with an aftermarket clutch, you should be able to start out in this car with no throttle.

(As a side note, I'm pretty sure my cayman has a fairly decent clutch )

Supercharger with stage clutch n lightweight flywheel problems Don't want to burn the crap out of a 600 buck clutch. I'll just drive like a normal human.

You can do that in any car.
That doesn't explain the sitting at a red light with clutch engaged part though.

The clutch was probably really glazed and slippery from doing this. I'm guessing he didn't ALWAYS have the vehicle in a gear though when stopped. After you get used to driving manual, sitting at a light while pressing a pedal is just annoying as phuc.

Isn't it obvious?
