When you installed yours did you hardwire it? Or get the Power magic Pro to run it all the time? I'm asking because I'm looking at getting this dash cam but want it to be able to run when parked. I'm also not very familiar with electrical stuff and don't want to screw something up on the car. I'm curious about the best way to wire it so it is neat and clean. Thanks! |

It's really simple to hardwire it with the Power Magic Pro. Check out this DIY:

Yup i fished it in to the edge of the head liner through to the driver side into the plastic [pulled on it a little and tucked it in] then into and through the rubber molding that is all through the edge finally down through the driver side a pillar and basically rolled up all the extra slack and tied it down near where the fuses are down there. sorry for the late reply been a busy week. i might be able to take some pics if you want.

For you guys that have dash cams, did you hardwire it or just use the cigarette lighter in the glove box? I'm asking this because I have a nexus 7 tablet for my dash and it's connected to the cigarette outlet in the glove box so I won't be able to attach something else to it
