Because you'll be pushing 8psi into your crank case. And if you put it before your catch can you'll be boosting that too.

I suppose this doesn't effect vented catch cans?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

Kit won't come in time for the weekend.
Another week of NA queerness. Meh.

Oh well, more time to read up on what else I need that doesn't come with the kit I guess...

Yeah, got a tracking number.
Estimated delivery is Tuesday next week.
I'm gonna check back tomorrow morning to see if it changed, but I doubt it.

Do you think it becomes necessary after a catch can install? and why 8psi of boost? tuned KW kit typically makes 10-11 psi of boost IIRC

Can anyone from @KraftWerks chime in and explain ?

yes but a check valve shouldn't cost anything and I am not sure how it can be overlooked if it may cause an issue

for those who want to put clamps on the hoses, don't forget the third one under the intake manifold after I saw this post I noticed I forgot to add a clamp on the hose that right behind the throttle body.. that one should be a lot easier to reach since it doesn't require you to remove the AC compressor though

I'll just dig through the thread and see what comes up
if you have a KW kit and a ecutek cable already i believe the tune is available for a nominal charge...i'm not in sales so you should call KW customer service and speak with Joe or CJ...951-808-9888

It's simple. Regardless of what comes in a kit you do not want positive pressure going into either the pcv system (it can leak) or the crank case (via the crank breather hose). If you have catch cans installed into these 2 breather systems, you don't want positive pressure going into the cans either. Put check valves in hoses to keep the positive pressure contained to the intake manifold/ic piping. They are cheap.
