I wish my 1500 rpm sound was that. I cut those headlight clips and made sure it's not touching anything. Mine is directly related to belt tension. But if it's tight enough were the rattle is gone, the charger screams.

Do you have any play in the pulleys?

Bump. Can anyone answer this? Also, how is the torque on either the C30 or C38? I read somewhere that the torque isn't that great and the spedometer numbers just climb a bit faster than stock. Owners please chime in... Anyone regret their purchase?

FI + E85 will require injectors, and most likely a pump; each situation varies a bit for the pump.

Boost climbs linearly with RPM; you need a turbo if you want torque. None of the SC kits will have the surge of torque like a turbo kit.

The car has more torque everywhere really than stock, enough that I have to be careful not to break my 205 wide winter tires lose driving normally on cold dry roads. It is still not a torquey car.

In terms of straight line speed it isn't just a little bit faster, its a lot faster.

^^^ what he said. If you want a surge of torque, then get a turbo.

There is a list in that thread of a few stock engines with forced induction that have blown. From the looks of it most of the time the cause of the failure was either a bad tune or over boosting. No Kraftwerks kits on the list, hope that helps :P

Hard to overboost a supercharger versus a turbo. If anyone blows an engine its either:

A) Bad Tune
B) Running a C38 and boosting the hell out of stock internals till it can't handle it.

Typically its always a bad tune...

I'm going to be running the C38, Probably going to use @moto-mike for tuning. Stock internals though. I'm shooting for reliability over top HP numbers. I figure I should be able to see 275hp quite reliably with a c38....or at least i hope.
