How'd you do? What kind of lap times were you putting down and what top speeds were you seeing?

What a crazy day. This was my first time in HPDE3 so I was a little nervous to push it too hard.

The first session I was a complete mess. The RS3s I just put on were super slick for the first 2/3 of the 20 minute session - not to mention the track was cold. I was hitting 110 in the main straight but then I was smoking the brakes going in too deep. Times weren't that good with a top time of almost 2:18.

The second session was much better. I let some pressure out of the tires and stiffened up my shocks a little adding a little more stiffness to the rear. I tried to keep the car in a higher gear so the power was more manageable except when I wanted to use the power to help rotate the car like at bus stop. In the home stretch I was going ~113mph. I reduced my time by 7 seconds to hit a 2:11 but I know there was still way more time to catch.

By the third session the ambient temperature was 100 degrees and my brakes/tires/car wasn't too happy with this. I came out of the gate too aggressive and once everything heated up it was all sorts of slick. Pulling in from run three my car started smoking bad - I seriously thought something had caught fire. I was thinking "welp, good thing I bought that track insurance!" Ended up being ATF leaking from my aftermarket cooler lines. I spent the rest of the day fixing that in 100 degree weather - yuk. Luckily it was a fairly simple fix and I brought some ATF fluid and my fluid pump. Missed the fourth session but at least I made the 4 hour drive back home!

ATF temps hovered around 215 while on the track but then would spike when I got off the track up to 240-250.

Oil temps were consistently higher than ATF even though the oil cooler is 2x as large as the ATF cooler. Oil temps would be at ~235 when the ATF was at 210. The oil temp got as high as 245-250.

Hopefully because this is only in short duration it's not damaging.

I think I'm going to hit up the Buttonwillow instructor session in December. It's basically a $200 all day track session with as much or little instruction as you want. Lots of track time...with hopefully no breakage

Hello all,

I just finished installing my Kraftwerks C30 kit in my FRS but I am having issues with it. I Loaded up ZA1JA01C-enc New Map 91oct $6B 2A 1E that was on the USB drive using ECUTek. Started up the car and let it idle for a bit. The revs did not drop and stayed at ~1100 rpm. I blipped the gas and hit 2500 rpm and then the car stalled. I also noticed that my ECUTek was seeing 0.82bar when it stalled. I am suspecting that I have the wrong MAP sensor/EcuTek calibration combination.

The map sensor that I received was Denso 079800-5410. Any suggestions guys? Sucks that I have everything done but I don't think I can drive it.

I also had an incorrect intercooler silicone coupler in my box so I had to run out and buy one.

Thanks!

-Anthony

My friend and I are working on a custom grill. I hated the look of the stock grill so I cut out. We whipped this up today. Paint comes next weekend. It's not for everyone but I like the look of it.

That picture doesn't do it justice and it was bothering me. Here is a picture from the side. It's still way too much of a cow catcher without paint. When it's black it will look so much better.

Kraftwerks working in the background figuring out what is causing my issue. Can somebody post or email me a copy of their data log? I am curious to see what a normal running C30 kit looks like. Thanks

Thank you for that. Looks like some good numbers!

What I wanted to see was an EcuTek log with the maf and MAP readings.

I am seeing 0.32 bar at idle and up to 0.9 bar after I blip the throttle. Seems to be off but I wanted to see what others are getting.

Thanks to @KraftWerks! Turns out that my car was stalling because the ECU needed to learn/calibrate itself to the new tune. After driving it lightly around town for a bit, it seems to be running smoother than the OEM tune.

just thought id write here that ive gotten my kit for a few weeks now and cant imagine my car ever without it. Kraftwerks was always kind enough to answer my seemingly endless idiotic questions and are quick to respond when i had a few troubles(which were not troubles, i just thought they were)

ALSO, this is more for new comers who are thinking about going FI,
Dynojet results
Car baselined at 165ish HP, 130TQ
After the KWSC install results
255HP, 205 TQ

i will post a video and dyno graph if anyone would like it , just showing the numbers gain are really quite good. the only other modification i have a invidia q300 catback exhaust :]
-also, still drives just as smooth around tough corners as before, just with a little more oomph when you punch it straightening out !

im plannin on getting a delicious tunes flash&go to compliment my DD style as well !
