Yes, it's auto, but you have paddle shifters. it's a true twin-clutch DCT transmission (completely different than an automatic).

Only the EvoX MR comes with launch control as the TCU has different programming. You can use something called the 'tap method' on the Ralliart to achieve a sort-of launch.

I actually flashed the TCU of an EvoX MR on my Ralliart so I have a rare Ralliart with launch control and super sport mode!

Ya baby! Sportback love. My car is completely gutted however haha...when there was an interior, the Sportback was amazing for transporting stuff and still remained a really sporty, fun drive.

Ya, this is true. The Ralliart is a much better daily driver. A few small mods and a tune and you can easily be in EvoX power levels. The Ralliart ride comfort is way better and quieter. The EvoX is way more aggressive in every way.

Or you can be like me, buy a Ralliart, start modding....and ruin your daily driver into a 500+hp aggressive gutted race car, that you still daily drive hahaha

I envy the quiet and comfortable ride.

It's a really fun car, the AWD system is pretty much the best out there. The stereo/heated seats/etc. are really great and I've enjoyed the car from day 1.
Ahem..... I believe Subaru has the only TRUE symmetrical AWD?

It's still not as good as Mitsu. I've driven both many times.

I used to have the Ralliart sedan. It had good pick up and power but I didn't enjoy the handling at all. I am sure it would of been much nicer had I modified the suspension but unfortunately it was completely totaled by a semi-truck before I could mod anything...

+1 for the looks though...

Damn sorry to hear that. Did you have any issues with the car?

Why bother with Mitsu? The brand is dying, dealerships are even fewer than Subaru.
Mitsu has the best AWD? Maybe for a sub-$30k automatic segment. Ralliarts/EVOs are even porkier than Subarus, and have worse reliability for DD.

Do not listen to fanboys that are heavily invested into the brand.

Even the outgoing WRX will be better and you can still get it as a hatch. I'm not saying you should get it, I'm saying skip the Mitsu.

Post a separate thread with your budget and requirements.

I didn't have any issues with the car but I couldn't help feel that there was something wrong with the engine. It could just be that I've never owned a turbocharged car. The gear shifts were rough also but then again it was a different transmission then I was used to. As I mentioned, it was fun to press the gas pedal and see it take off. I really shouldn't comment on reliability as I only had it for less than a year before it was totaled. Ohh...the recaro seats and stereo were fantastic!

I would get a wrx long before a ralliart. The wrx is a way better DD anyways.

For under 30k, the wrx wagon is the best all around car you can buy. Period

Just don't drive the Evo X

You will want one and the price can go up quick. I would probably consider one if Mitsbishi wasn't a dying brand in the US.

I tried it, didn't want it. Might be a viable option in California/Arizona or someplace with smooth roads. In Midwest, you'd need a chiropractor pronto.
