Is there a nice how-to on getting GoPro footage overlayed onto HLT with OBD info? I also use a center mount for my tablet with HLT petro version.

Does HLT for android not support MultiCam? Do I need to get a third app like Dashware?

Just an update on this.

There have been a couple of updates to HLT in the last few weeks and I was at the track last night, and lo and behold, oil temperature showed up on the timer display and it was also logged.

Good news: Oil temp is now logged. Yay!
Bad news: Peak oil temp for me was 128C / 262F. Boo!

Since I am staying NA I will probably look at the Forester cooler option.

The forums are invaluable. Harry posts on them all the time.

Here's my first attempt at using the HLT PetrolHead Version on my HTC One M8 with a Q818XT and a generic OBD2 Bluetooth adapter. I've since upgraded to a OBDLink MX adapter and installed the latest PH version of HLT. Overall I'm very impressed with the setup and for autocross it's highly beneficial to review overlayed video of runs on device at the event to make improvements on later runs. Thanks Harry for the outstanding product and Android support!

I have the Forester Oil Cooler and at High Plains Raceway on a 70F ambient day, the oil temp did not get much over 212F.

EDIT: 212 F was on the street, apparently I forgot to monitor the temp last weekend at HPR.

Not sure I'd bother with Harry's given Racechrono has been on Android a long time and is well supported. The dev is very responsive on his own forum and it is an excellent app especially if combined with external GPS and OBD data.

I had looked at Racechrono a while back and there was something it was missing that made HLT a better option for me. I don't remember what it was.

ive gotten this from time to time as well. although i figure its probably more of an iphone error than the software.

Just purchased the Rookie edition for Android. Quick question: is there a way to display oil temperature on the same screen as the lap times? Or just a quicker way to switch between views?

On my phone the oil temp shows up on the timer screen by default. It does not display on the video screen.

The harry's lap timer forums has 86/frs users who are still claiming the oil temp is showing up from the standard PID. So did yours work out of the box? I was looking at using HLT for my next track day but i can't do without oil temp logging

I can see the oil temp in the lap application when I drive the car but the oil temp do NOT show up when I create the overlay video. On the overlay video I only see the water temperature (needle, not digital number)
