He has like 10 load limits, which are you using? Looks like the 3800rpm limit should be raised.

You should have 1.1 @3800 in LL and probably around 68/69 @ 3.2V in MAF scale, depending on which one you're using. On your car it looks like MAF scale should be smooth but instead looks like you have a dip @ 3.2V.

Did you try just Shiv's scale with LL of 1.1 @ 3800?

It looks like you're using US.Lean and you need to change 3.2V to 68 to smooth it out.

Hey guys,

could someone please explain me how to reduce/eliminate knock?
I got some FBKC up to -1.41 on Wayno's stage1 98 v98 tune between 3200-3700@0.5-0.6 load. (Fuel is BP Ultimate Super, it is fine, when not the best available here, no e85 fuelstation available)
So i decided to pull some timing out of Base Timing B like in the Knock Correction thread vom steve99.
Like below:

Now i got some FBKC spikes up to -2.09! and a couple of -1.41 again.
Did i something wrong? Does the Base Ignition Timing need to be a "lower" or "higher" value? IAM is still at 1 all the time, but -2.09 is pretty huge..

You can see the FBKC below:
http://datazap.me/u/rezi/170320161?l...zoom=1465-1695

http://datazap.me/u/rezi/170320165?l...zoom=2995-3941

http://datazap.me/u/rezi/170320163?l...4&zoom=90-1007

I really dont know what the heck is going on. Gonna "beat" the crap out of it. If it still persists i'm going to flash back

make sure your on @Wayno s latest version of tune , you might have to make it run a bit richer in that area and see if that helps you may need to change the ol and cl fuel maps

If it doesn't drop IAM, then don't worry about it. You won't feel it at low load. If you really, really want to smooth out that area you can do this change attached. It's important not to pull timing from the adjacent high load columns where no knock is happening. If you do that you're just detuning your car for no reason. Better to pull from the adjacent low load column where the timing ramps right up. You shouldn't pull timing based solely on the base timing table. You should be looking at base timing + kca combined. If you did you'd see there's a mountain of adv in those cells @ 0.5.

@Wayno Are these changes correct?

I will try it today. If not, i am flashing back to your "stock" v98 tune.

Just do the diff.

The other 2 are total timing - 6.

And if it still knocks there without dropping IAM, forget about it.

Yes my load limit is 1.10 at 3800 and my MAF scale at 3.2v is 66.5. I never did try shiv's load limit. I'll give it a try and maybe 67 or 68 at 3.2v. Thanks for the reply.

No, Shiv's SCALE i.e. OTS Stg2 maf scale.
There are no load limits OTS tunes worth copying.

And copy LL from here.

@Wayno @steve99 , thank you so much!!

The logs are looking really good!
* one FLKC of -1.3 between 6000-6500rpm when doing 3rd gear wot pull from 2000-7000
*one FBKC of -1.41 when AC was on @3500-3600
The rest is looking really good. Absolute zero FLKC and very little -0.69FBKC.

IAM was always at 1. LTFT are looking much much better. It is between +0.78% / -1.57% the most of the time. Idle @ -5.47% which is normal. And this is without MAF-scaling.

Fuel used was 90% BP Ultimate 98. (got some litre of OMV MaxxMotion 100 in it, but i think it is better to log with the "lowest" fuel)

WOT FLKC: http://datazap.me/u/rezi/190320164?log=0&data=1-10-11

FBKC w/ AC?: http://datazap.me/u/rezi/190320165?l...zoom=6477-6622

Rest: http://datazap.me/u/rezi/190320161?log=0&data=1-4-10-11
http://datazap.me/u/rezi/190320162?log=0&data=1-4-10-11
http://datazap.me/u/rezi/190320163?log=0&data=1-4-10-11
