Nothing hammers home those basics like competiting against a clock and the constant challenge of keeping up with similar or 'inferior' cars which are mere hairs away from utterly destroying you.

Not to mention the satisfaction after you've been around a while and manage to begin outpacing much faster cars with more inexperienced drivers.

Always room for improvement. Always.
