the only thing i don't like about it is the carbon fiber hood. reminds me too much of an orca. personally, i'd just prefer the hood white with black racing strips to match the hood.

RICE doesn't have boundaries. I find the response (domestic bread) you gave a bit, I don't know, stereotypical. Big turn off.

RICE means "Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement(s)"

On another note, what I don't particularly like about the build is that Vivid Racing touched it. Just being honest.

Jacky, I like how it's plain white. I wish the hood was white and the mirrors were black. But I realize you're probably trying to show the hood.

What's with the aero pieces on either side of the front bumper that curve downward? Why is the grill a gray color not seen elsewhere on the car?

I think it's cool. But it would be a handful for me!

Notice how badly the top of the bumper fits with the fender. This is a SEMA car? I expected better.

IMHO, nothing about this car matches up. Why don't I like it?

Carbon fiber hood? Why not continue the racing stripes?

Racing Stripes? That is so 90's Viper GTS.

Strange, vaguely Alfa Romeo reminiscent grille? I know it's stock, but that is what should have been replaced.

And the color of those wheels. Looks like melted and reformed pennies.

However, is it good for SEMA? Hell yeah. This is a purpose-built show car and show off it will. For better or worse, it will turn some heads. I would've repainted it, because white is nice, but on a show car it's pretty bland.

for the work you guys are putting in.

I know it is an optical illusion but the bright white of the roof contrast with the darkness of the hood making the roof look really bulbous and ungainly. I also agree that the grill needs to be darkened to make it blend with the other colors better.

However, it IS a SEMA car. It is not supposed to be pretty, or clean, or classy, or aesthetically pleasing. It is supposed to be outlandish, brash, extreme, and even downright fugly!

You may not have gone overboard enough. It actually looks pretty tame for a Viper.

Why?

It seems to be saying... "Hey look I saved 10lbs of weight on a 10 zillion HP car". .... and the parts fit is horrible......So... Why?

Yeah the fit of the hood needs work.

I was assuming the white paint would have a bunch of decals/logos added for the show...

Making the orange and red side reflects white would clean up the wheel arches.

This was just a sneak peak, and of course we will have that fitment issue resolved before Sema.

The carbon front clamshell is really, really, abrupt in a visual sense. Doesn't seem cohesive from a 3/4 view, IMO. "Tacky" would be the word to describe it.

Are those front canards functional? Why does one of them look upside down?

I'm not an engineer but I don't see that very often. I think that might explain why I think it looks a little off.

Good call on the orange reflectors. Those need to go.

I like our Viper rebody better, aka GTS-R

The dive planes are nice and subtle, but what's the function of the other carbon bit? catch more air to go into the "brake duct"?

The black hood really brings my attention to the fact that they still haven't figured out how to hide the leading edge of the door. Make the damn thing longer so the shut line is hidden behind that swooping piece of hood.

It's been bugging me since the late 90's.
