I wonder if you still need nuts the size of volleyballs to drive it well...

Nice! Pretty fitting considering the Viper's history at The Ring.

am i the only one who kinda thinks they dropped the ball here?
Styling: its way too busy. the front looks like a ferrari and the rear looks like a maserati. WTF? where has the muscular Shelby cobra reincarnate gone? engine: 640/600 is no joke, but there were talks of multiair being used. again, nothing revolutionary. now imagine if they unveiled a DOHC multiair V10 with 8000 rpm redline? people would go nuts. instead its the same old shit, just reworked a bit. not that the 8.4 was bad, but they could have wowed us but didnt. transmission: i know all you folks are manual lovers, but they could have added a world class dual clutch tranny as an option and put the world on notice. but again, they didnt infotainment: this car once had no ABS and no TC/SC. it now has a touchscreen infotaiment with 18 speakers and a place to put your ipad. really? price: the word on the street is around $140k. now the viper was never cheap, but damn 140 is kinda high for this car. they could have lower the price by cutting out the "luxury" crap. |

Remember there are two trims: "The SRT is meant to "offer a perfect blend of extreme performance and a deliberate preservation of what has become the iconic DNA of the Viper," says Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of the Street and Racing Technology Brand and Motorsports. Buyers looking for a little more technology can opt for the GTS, which adds such niceties as a two-mode active suspension and interior creature comforts not normally associated with the Viper." Don't want the fancy interior with nab, just get the SRT. |
