Basicly 98Ron is us 93 (r/m)2 or AKI.

95ron would be equivalent to 91AKI

I was a little in doubt because cirquit motorsports said when they tuned on 93us and 98eu they found 98eu was a little better than 93us and could get a little more gains out of it :-)

I imagine that depends on atmospheric conditions or additives than the actual octane rating...

Maybe one car liked the tune or mods better. Noticed that with my wrx and my friends. Same yr same fuel same conditions same mods same tuner I made almost 15 more HP...

Just examples. Could be slight difference in fuel

I just left the house an hour ago and had to attempt to crank three times before I got it started and it's only 45 degrees out atm. If I can't get this resolved I'm just going to put the BRZ in the garage and drive my other car on days I have to work because I can't risk not being able to start the car in the morning when it's time to goto work.
You will need to use romraider for now, or wait till shiv updates the xdf to include the 3d cranking pulse width tables.

Start by setting the Cranking RPM table back to all 0.00 then multiply all the of 68*F (20*C) columns by 1.2, all of the 50*f columns by 1.25, and all of the columns from -40*f to 32*f by 1.3. Then you can just tweak the cranking table as needed. I was a little more aggressive with my rom..

In atlanta all i needed was the cranking rpm table setup as shiv has it in the base rom, but here in socal it was not sufficient to crank on the first try. Td-d was kind enough to find these 3d tables for me and they work great. It seems there is a limit to the amount of enrichment the rpm based table will provide.

I'll be receiving my OFT this week (and header in January!)

Working on a three phase performance improvement
Base (already installed) - K&N filter, Nameless Combo pipe, Nvidia Q300 Exhaust
1 - Add OFT (this week) - Stage 1 tune
2 - Change to E85 (next week) - Stage 2 E85 tune
3 - Add OFT Header (January) - Stage 2 E85 Header tune
And somewhere in there I will modify my intake inlet

While doing this, I'm looking for what parameters I need to keep an eye on to make sure I'm within acceptable ranges and tolerances given the off-the-shelf tunes. I've read most of the threads and watched Shiv's videos but I'm looking for the primer for dummies on what parameters should be within what ranges.

Parameter X should be between y - z, etc..

If this was already posted somewhere that I can't locate, a link would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Shiv and the guys at Vishnu can't post here for a week so will be trying to bridge the communication gap during this time. Just getting caught up with things right now. Working on more sound clips or the OpenFlash Header as well as a video tutorial for Romraider. I'll also be posting up about a special OpenFlash Tablet holiday sale for all users who currently have non-user programmable flash tunes

Just call or email them and they can give you a tracking number/order status. Their offices were closed on Thursday and Friday for the holidays so I believe today they are catching up on all orders since then

Just a head's up for folks that don't check the OFT website. ROMRaider tuning software and definition files are now posted so you can use ROMRaider to edit maps now if you want.

Yes, Shiv just put those up a few minutes ago. But he suggests hanging tight until the tutorial video is done and posted up. Most likely tomorrow. There are some important bits of info to know with regards to some of the XML files. Consider this for experimental use only for the time being
