You are going to need a larger sensor tha a k20 sensor for 1bar of boost.

i had a spare 2007 STI map sensor here so installed that one instead of the K20.

looking in the STI rom they state :
offset: -0.5520 bar absolute
multiplier: 0.6855 bar absolute / V

i converted it for the GT86 into:
offset: -8.006 psi absolute
multiplier: 9.942 psi absolute / V

Does that sound right?

I then also changed last colums in O/L fueling and ignition adv A & B maps to 1.6 and 2 (engine load) to have 1bar of boost in the maps

Does that sound OK ?

ok got the STI map sensor working, didn't start at first but i switched + and ground on the sensor, so fixed now and car starts and revs, but overfueling quite a bit, fuel trim -10% so need to rescale the maf down again.

Just curious as I uploaded my stage 2 uel map today and found that when I went to look at my live data I could see the data however the words (labels) next to it were missing. Any ideas how to correct this?

Sounds like you need to update the template file. You can download it off the same page you get the maps from.

You have to manually download the template file from openflashtablet.com, click upgrade within open flash manager, and select that file you downloaded. That should fix your issue.

The thing is though I have not downloaded any files specifically, other than what auto updates when I connect to my laptop.

One of the auto updates changed some things and you'll need to apply the template update manually.

@Malt speaks the truth, you need to download updated template file manually it just won't do it automatically.
