This is all good to know... I've had great service with Corey at Cambridge Toyota, however he's the only person that I can deal with there.

Customer service is DEFINITELY an issue at the Cambridge Toyota location and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I have a friend looking for an FRS and advised them to go to Guelph Scion... wish I had bought my car there.

I will be going to Guelph for all my servicing and custom work going forward, especially after reading all the negative remarks against Cambridge Scion and having issues with them myself.

Please keep up the posts for newbies like myself to keep up to date...

I'm sorry but when ever a dealership has my car for any amount of time i EXPECT a loaner car, if I had to pay for a rental car because my NEW CAR wasn't ready with accessories agreed to upon delivery, I would send the bill to the dealership and if they didn't pay for it I would simply show them s.14 (2) of the consumer protection act.
That way you can threaten to opt out of the purchase and get all your money back and go to another dealer.

It may sound like a **** move but tbh I'm tired of dealerships bending people over, there are a number of honest dealerships that deserve business more than these clowns.

I pulled in and in 10 minutes they had my fuel pump ordered as he heard the noise immediately and didn't even have to ask. They also took a look a few little things I had questions about and were very helpful in trying some settings out. Needless to say I will have no problem returning to this dealership for further service. The free car washes on the weekend will certainly help as well.
Thanks Jamie! :happy0180:
A snotty dealership is a common thing, usually caused by the personality that runs it.
An excellent dealership is usually caused by the personality running it.

If you have ever met Jaimie, the manager at at Guelph you will understand why the Guelph dealership is ranked up with Wietzes in Ontario (now experienced aftermarket turbo installers LOL) !

Jaime loves the car just like us.
He is one of us. He tracks the car, and sets up his tent and crew at CSCS all through the season. He's even set up a track days for the twins !
We need more dealerships like Jaimie's in Guelph.

Well said... It clearly shows by the response in these forums that Guelph Scion is the place to go for your next vehicle and all your custom and servicing needs...

Salespeople at Cambridge Scion are brutal to deal with and so unprofessional.

HMMM is it a Cambridge thing? Read the exact same things about Cambridge Mitsubishi back when I had my Lancer. Could be the same owners I guess. MOST of London's new car dealerships are owned by just two families and they frequently treat you like crap. What do they care if you go to another make when they sell those as well.
Just to throw another option out there, the Toyota/Scion Town dealer here is also outstanding for both sales and service. They are one of the few NOT owned by the two families and it shows!!!!!!

I can't say if it's a Cambridge thing as this is my only experience in this city.

I think they need to see all these reviews to realize that they have a problem.

This doesn't help as much as you think it should.

I got the clutch squeak diagnosed by Pickering Toyota about a month and a half to 2 months ago. They said I needed a new release bearing/shift fork (common issue & commonly replaced parts) they said they wouldn't provide a loaner so I tried to arrange for time off work/see if it was feasible to get a rental. Called them back a bit later to get the work done and they said they wouldn't do it anymore. They said the GM refuses to work on my car since it's been to too many dealerships. I explained to them that my work requires me to travel a lot, service managers and advisors agreed that work needs to be done but said you're shit out of luck.

Called Scion canada, they said they've never heard of a dealer refusing warranty work like this. It got passed on to management, just received a call back from them 2 weeks later saying they can't do anything. Try going to another dealer and see if it works out better.....

Gee thanks...great help there scion canada

Moral of the story, neither the dealer or scion canada really gives a shit. I've now wasted 2 months on faulty parts only to have to start fresh at another dealer again. Worst thing is the as those who have had a clutch squeak issue will know, it's mainly prevalent in warm-hot conditions which won't come back around for another 6 months in our climate. All I can do is hope those faulty parts don't do any more damage until then...

But hey, I guess that's what we should come to expect when buying a new $30000 car under warranty...

Sounds like something else is up. Your right, dealer wont refuse warranty work (unless something happened whereby the work is no longer deemed "warranty").

Who did you speak with at Scion? Let me know, either via PM or here. I'll see what I can do to assist.

I guess Scion Canada's warranty insurer isn't reimbursing the stealerships with enough labor money for them to find it worthwhile to take on the work. Pretty common with other makes as well actually.

What is this squeaking clutch issue anyway like where is the sound coming from?

I spoke to a guy name maxim at scion canada who was "management level". His rationale for the situation was that the dealer I dealt with wasn't a scion dealer so he couldn't do anything but I argued that if that was the case, why didn't they mention that when the diagnosed the car. I have quotes from the service advisors and manager saying that the GM of the dealership didn't want to do the work because I have been to too many dealerships. Feel free to PM me if need be and we can talk about this issue as in depth as need be.

I'm looking into this for you this morning.

Out of respect for thread topic dealer, Cambridge Toyota, and the new dealer in question, lets take this to PM and see if we can't get this resolved for you.
