Auto equipped cars have the proper sized 500 CCA battery. Mine is only 340 CCA which is a joke around here.

I'll have to pop the hood on mine tomorrow and check. Was in Thunder Bay over Christmas and it easily fired every day at -35. And there's no block heater in it either. Silly Southern Ontario purchased vehicle... lol

Where in the frozen hell do you live? LOL
It was only -28 last night here in Tbay (-33 with the wind, I feel bad for everyone in the GTA mom sent me a picture of the temp in Whitby lol)
I find a block heater helps quite a bit too

Are you guys counting wind chill when you say temps? Because you know winchill wont affect your battery or your car's ability to start, right? -10 with a windchill of -60 is still just -10

We've had -35 to -40 up here in tbay. She starts, doesn't like it but starts. It starts much better after being plugged in for a few hours though!

This is pretty common. Almost every day at work, someone will say "brrr it's -40 out". I check the weather and it's -8 with high winds.

Anyways, back on topic. I have had NO problems starting my car here in Ottawa, regardless of temperature. There is the world's smallest groan when it's really cold out, but after one crank it sounds the same as on a hot summer's day.

Mine rolls over a little slow at -25 (not including wind chill), but always starts. 340CCA is a bit on the lite side. Considering the size of the battery, it should be around 5-600. Most replacement batteries in that group size will be at least that high.

Just tried to start up mine. NO GO. All I get is that dreadful clicking sound. CAA is on the way for a jump. Poor BRZ's been sitting inside my garage (unheated) for approx 5 days.

I did notice the last time it started, it struggled. My last trip was only 20 min. Regret not driving it longer to charge. :/

Living on the GTA and driving to Barrie, the Sube sees lots of -20. It might be a little slow to start but it starts every time.

I release the clutch pedal gently. I once dumped the clutch in neutral and that alone stalled the engine.

I started my car today, it sat since Friday the 13th. (10 days no starting)

It fired right up, first shot. (Manual w/ pushbutton start) It was rolling over slowly due to -17Celcius (not incl. wind chill).

The transmission fluid was so thick, the gear selector felt like it was set in molasses. Then when I let out the clutch so I could go clear the snow off, the rpm dropped to the point where the car started shuttering. Checked for the 3rd time that I was in fact in neutral, and let the clutch out much more slowly so the computer could increase the revs as I let out the clutch.
