I really think that now is as good as any if you are going to buy a BRZ. I think it will take a kick in the pants by someone like Ford before Subaru will do any major upgrades.

I'm in the waiting because I can't afford... yet lol (If I could I'd have a whiteout FRS tomorrow lmao)

It just so happens that I shall be finishing college in 15' and be going to RT field so financially I'll be more than ready when the 15' drops. Then it's simply deciding if the 15' will be worth buying new, or simply getting a used 12-14' thats more than likely going to be 98% just as good, but save myself 5-6k

Speaking new car only. I learned my lesson with my 07 Mini S with factory Aero II kit and JCW Performance package. Could have gotten better performance with aftermarket parts for the same spend.

On the other hand, you would need to have the cash as you could not roll if into your financing but, it also means waiting a year or longer...????

So it seems simple: If you can stand to wait, wait! If you don't have the cash, wait maybe???....

I don't have the cash to do everything I wanted to do but, part of the fun is in researching and modifying the car the way you want. Not to mention meeting, sharing, doing, helping, and enjoying conversing with like minded enthusiasts throughout the process.

Just my .02

That's not true(well sort of), the 2006 TSX(I use to own one), had more power than it's 04 predecessor, and it was enough to make a couple 04-05 owners talk about swapping parts or trading in their car for the newer models. Not only that, the 2006 TSX cams are the most aggressive cams that Honda ever made for the K series. I wouldnt be suprised if Subaru/Toyota is working on upgrading the engine and giving it roughly 15+hp/tq power gains and getting rid of that torque dip now that the aftermarket has figured out the true reason for it.

It only makes sense that Subaru is playing it safe with this first generation FA engine and using us and the aftermarket companies as R&D to help find flaws in this new engine..

04 TSX K24 vs 06 TSX K24

Good point. Even then it was only 5hp on paper from the previous year. That hondata dyno is interesting though. Regardless It would not be a significant gain.
