Whoever installed the Bilstein STI suspension can you post a picture of your rear suspension setup? I'm still concern that mine isn't installed properly pertaining to the coil direction. Thanks!

KW V3 has too many adjustments for a street car. One-way adjustable coil overs are a much better option and in some cases a necessity. For example, some Subaru fans like to drive with AWD on snow and have to change the coilover settings to a much softer setup on the winter. Then they change back the settings on the summer. Of course, I cannot imagine many GT86/BRZ owners driving on snow, so even this option is not of much use. |

Isn't the yellow one the "prototype" version that was at the car shows?

Added rear STi emblem. Now debating if I should jump on that faux tS badge.

The showas are great so far! Still want to drive more to review as best as I can. But might as well continue here and share the experience so far. So alignment is done but I only drive on select roads. Currently, my memory can only compare to my previous coilover setup. (can't remember how stock feels now. Plus sticky tires). The biggest pro for me is how much I'm enjoying the overall ride comfort over the kw's. (could be bc the shocks are still brand new or) I'm guessing a big factor might be ride height. I feel less bumps than before. Very smooth transitions over the light/medium bumps where you almost don't feel them. Whereas they would feel a little more more harsh on the lower height/stiffer spring rate. (But sometimes I wonder if I had raised the kw's to match the Pinks, how they'd compare in ride comfort. I'm sure it would improve) Handling-wise: Took a sharp corner a little too fast today and it felt very planted. Didn't realize how sharp it was until halfway into the turn and didn't want to brake hard, but the suspension took it with ease. Really portrays confidence. I was surprised how quick I completed the turn without sliding hard in my seat. Felt smooth while it stuck to the road. Keep in mind that I don't normally push the limits of the car since I mainly drive on city streets. So, a real test would be at the track. For me and my current use, the car overall is much more enjoyable to drive, that's for sure. I worry a little less about big bumps as they're not as unforgiving. Best way to describe it is firm with balanced handling without sacrificing too much ride comfort. Body roll is very slightly more apparent in comparison, but in no way does it feel's like a boat. It's controlled fairly well. If ultimate stability/rigidity is desired, I'm sure options like thicker sway bars or more of the tS chassis replacement parts would definitely help. Lastly, in terms of looks. It's been 1 week and the springs don't seem to be settling any lower. Right now, It's about 3 finger gap up front and 2-2.5 finger gap in the rear. Definitely not as large as stock gap, but doesn't really have that 'lowered' look either. At some angles, it looks very even with the fender cutouts and at some lower angles, the gap can look large. (subjective of course, but see attached pics to compare for yourself. Pics were taken this weekend. Pic 1 looks like less gap, Pic 2 more gap). I'm getting accustomed to it though. I wouldn't trade the looks for the feel, so I'm happy with my decision so far. Hope this gives more insight on the showas/pink springs.

You can't raise the KWs to match the STI springs since pinks are 15mm lower than stock, KW even at its highest setting is 20mm lower than stock IIRC. The KW shocks are probably valved for a more aggressive setup in mind from the very beginning anyway.
My findings with the Bilstein setup is very similar to your Showa setup. I've never had seat time in a Bilstein equipped car that is this plush ever. It took months before the ride height settled down for me, but still looks very stock. The black stock shocks to me felt like the typical German car sports package. If you run 17" instead of 18" wheels, the extra sidewall should give you even more composure on bumpy roads, but you need 18" wheels to look decent with the full body kit. ![]() Are you gonna do a cossie badge? Probably not. I saved $300 by parting out the Cosworth 1.1 kit (and not receiving the cool badge).
Plus, unless the Cosworth supercharger comes down in price I am going to go with more economical forced induction like Harrop or Edelbrock.

Every time I see that little STI badge offset to the left on the spoiler like that, it makes me cringe so damn hard. It's supposed to be centered!!!!!
