What would the adapter look like? The wheel needs to sit flush against the hub face, the only way for it to really work is to machine out the center of the rim. Now 2mm isn't a huge amount and shops can do it, but I'd probably just find some different wheels.
Most of this thread is garbage though. I've been running non-hubcentric wheels on my car for 2.5 years now without rings, taking them on and off quite a bit for autocross, and have the original studs. Rings make sure things are centered, but if you torque wheels the right way they don't really do anything for you. |

I support hubrings. They prevent vibration issues, they help support the wheel, safety is debatable but hey they cost practically nothing, I'd be more than willing to fork it out for them.
As for 1mm hubrings, they are typically aluminium if they are that thin and in replacement of them I've used tape, sandpaper, really anything i can get my hands on. prefer to not have the 1mm difference even though its so small. thats just me though

I found some hub centric rings that I am going to try. Dimension are 56.1mm to 54.1mm. The wheels I am trying to use are the 5 spoke TRD. http://trdsparks.com/displayparts.ph...6&parts_id=978
Rings wont' be in until next week - hopefully they do the trick. |
