Whenever I first saw pictures of the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Chronograph a few years back I really liked it...some don't like the asymmetrical design, I LOVE it! Flash forward to just now and I found a reputable site with them at great prices (grey market) and just had to buy it. So I have this exact model (H76552955) coming in...

I will need to find the right leather and nylon Natos for it....

I really like the cufflink!

Anyone interested in an Orient GT300 BRZ chronograph? Mine is available, only issue is I can't find the bracelet links I removed and bagged when I sized it to my wrist (~7.1") It's currently on a nice leather band, which it looks nice on:

It also looks good on Italian rubber (a Bonetto Cinturini 300D):

If it weren't for the bezel I'd love it and not even think of parting with it; can't stand that bezel - ruins the looks and makes it difficult for crown manipulation. More information on the watch directly from Orient:

http://www.orient-watch.com/press_release/20121109.pdf

I'd rather just sell it and start saving up for a Magrette Regatarre 2011, which I've been wanting since the beginning of this year but can never find used (if you miss a for sale post by a day it's too late with this watch), Magrette is supposed to have some inventory available again at the end of the year...

Basically its all about getting them from an Authorized Dealer. Gray Market Dealers are never the best in both of authenticity or pricing. Finding a authorized dealer that has your model and style is the best choice. With the Date Just Model you have the following issues when buying a previously owned time piece:

  • Style Will always not be available
  • Band will be loose most likely 95% of the time you will not be able to work around this so the best option is just to deal with it the next time the watch is serviced
  • You can negotiate with a Authorized Dealer
  • Getting it serviced from Rolex will be required in about a few years but during that time you can basically pay for the watch to be like new again
  • Carefully inspect watch for any fading or wear and tear and price accordingly
  • Never buy from a Gray Market dealer
  • Always get a Certificate of Appraisal or Authenticity

Here's what I've been wearing as an everyday watch:

Titanium Citizen Eco-Drive, with radio-controlled timing and a sapphire crystal. I love that I never have to worry about setting the time or the date and that the time shown is always accurate UTC time. (Time accuracy means a great deal to me.)

Please disregard the illusion that the band is crushing my wrist:

My next watch is going to be the exact opposite, a steel, hand wound watch with an easily scratched display that keeps (relatively) terrible time. A Speedmaster Professional.

It seems to pull it off 'properly' you need a very modern attire to go with it, otherwise I think you'll look like a techy wearing the latest gadget.

Just got this delivered after picking it up on Ebay. Still had the tags on it. I've lusted after this one since it was first released as I have a thing for E6B aviation watches.

Next on my list is to find the Red Arrow (Royal Air Force demonstration team) version of the watch.

I didn't realize that the Blue Angel watch had a caseback like that! Neat stuff! Nice looking watch. It looks like it does a lot of stuff. Does it tell time?

Hah! In several different time zones. It also has a button that temporarily moves the hands out of the way if they are over one of the displays.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but this just came out. A Citizen special edition dedicated to the 86 platform. I quite like the look. It's rather expensive but still think it's a great looking bit of kit
