^ I ended up going with a smaller G-Shock with tide function, tough solar and atomic radio update. For sailing.

I have one of these. It's my favorite daily watch. I went on a bit of an eco-drive spree, mostly because my wife decided since I liked one, I must like more, so I now have;
a similar one in chrome/silver, whatever it is;
a "tank" (rectangular) dress watch;
a limited edition that links to the atomic clock and sets itself with a brown leather band that is nice to look at but uncomfortable to wear because it insists on sitting far to one side on my wrist;
a diver's watch with an eye catching orange band that I just got for my birthday. I have to dig the manual out and figure out how to set the date because it is a day ahead and I can't figure it out by playing with it;
I've got a Seiko that I bought for $300 about 15 years ago that went back after two days to get the hands aligned when I noticed how far off they were. Don't ask the model, I haven't looked at it in years because the P.O.S. sits in a drawer because it is too unreliable to wear (decides to go on strike every so often and suddenly starts working again weeks later);
A Movado Museum watch that I bought about 25 years ago and just found out is worth about three times what I paid for it. I need to refresh my insurance photos;
A cheap watch from a mall kiosk that I wear when I know the watch is going to get beat on;
and a pocket watch I got for being in a wedding ages ago.

I beg to differ. They are the fourth component of the quartet. I've got a Ken Onion Swindle as my pocket carry that would definitely qualify as knife art. Some of the stuff custom makers are coming out with is amazing.

Definitely art.

But not enough mechanical for the Trifecta.

THIS, is knife art. Here's a couple pics of how it came from stock, and a couple of it all pimped out.

Finally using the chronograph on my Speedmaster on what it was meant for: timing feedings for the baby.

Heh, awesome.

I had two times at work where I could've used my Speedtimer, and one was even for the tachymeter (how many boxes per hour our machine made).

Had to use the phone because I wasn't wearing the watch those days. So disappointed. Heh.
