jvincent, like that PVD Citizen!

Traded my Bertucci A-2T for two new MVMT watches:

Swapped out the stock brown leather strap for my Orient BRZ GT300 bracelet on this one (will be modding the endlinks to fit it)...

Put the Bonetto Cinturini rubber deployment strap on this one...

And put the stock MVMT brown leather strap on my Lum-Tec M48 (will get a 24mm Black PVD Panerai style deployment clasp for it)...

Tissot I was talking about earlier:

Already a couple issues. Not sure if it's not supposed to handwind because of non-standard movement (it does hack, though), or if the stem/crown isn't right. And strap is kinda short for me.

Edit:

Fucking Hell! It IS a problem. Found one in stock at a different dealer who let me play with it to see if there are any differences. Other one functions perfectly. My first brand new Swiss watch from a reputable company and it's fucked. Argh...

@Dimman, you mentioned diy regulating the watch or something? My watch still consistently goes quite a bit fast ever since getting back from the factory, and it's getting a little annoying...do I take off the back and turn the little screw to the - direction?

I've never done it myself, but that is the principal, yes.

Theory behind what you're doing is changing the effective length of the balance spring which increases or decreases the force it takes to turn the balance. The different amount of force it resists from the escapement's impulse affects how much the balance wheel moves before coming back. So it affects the frequency of the oscillations.

What does the regulator look like?

On my new (perfectly functional replacement) Tissot it looks like you turn the screw between the two curved levers.

On my vintage Omega, you adjust with the pointer.

All the advice I hear says, move it a tiny bit, check timing for a week, and repeat by tiny amounts if necessary.

The first one. ETA2824 clone remember? Heh.

I seem to have misplaced my tiny screwdriver. Darn, will do this when I find one.

So movements I want to buy have annual availability of 250-2500 and 500-5000 units.

I suppose I could try to contact them about small volume orders, but I would first like to know if I'm in the right sport, let alone right ballpark. A minimum order of 250 units @ $2k each is a fuck-ton of money.

So if anyone with purchasing knowledge out there can answer me, is the small number a minimum order amount? Or is that their minimum projected production based on pre-forecast sales and they have 10x the capacity if demand increases?

The 250-2500 unit movement is ~$2k btw... These are not your run of the mill ÉTA units.

Interesting watch. Reminds me of Panerai, but not in a homage way. It's own style, but has that old, tough look to it.

This is my work watch. Don't really care about it, just need to know what time it is. Haha

This guy I won in a free raffle. Not a bad little watch. Nothing crazy fancy but I really like it.
