Rose gold is a nice color but I do prefer neutral tones in a more daily watch. Do you have the photo of the specific watch you ordered? Maybe from a dealer?

Here's Tissot's promo pic:

Movement is an automatic 2825. It's sort of new. It's based on a 2824, but the dial side has some kind of gearing offset plate so they can position stuff asymmetrically.

I think of it as a poor man's Lange 1.

How big? I feel like asymmetric faces work pretty well on largeish watches. My 40mm with fat bezel looks good with a classic centered face, but my friend's Kent Wang Bauhaus 42mm with a thinner bezel looks a little goofy IMO, and those disgusting 48mm Michael Kors watches that girls like to wear look like they came from a cartoon. The 42mm Seagull tourbillons though look very aesthetically pleasing to me with the offset hands.

I think 40mm?

The Seagull tourbillon is still symmetrical just off centered a bit up. My favourite Seagull by far.

Your Master Control-looking one is nice, too. Fixed yet?

Well it's symmetrical about a line through the center, but the off centering essentially gives you 2 circles like before though the dial design is this warped look which is really cool imo.

Yea I have been wearing it since mid-September, I wore my skeleton for a couple days here and there (when I want to attention whore). I think they adjusted it a little faster than last time, since it gains time faster. Considering how consistent it was before the repair it's probably a matter of taking off the cover and turning the screw a little but I'm not going to mess with it. I actually accidentally bumped the face against some hardened steel while doing something with my car the other day, got pretty scared for a moment but no scratch. Sapphire ftw.

Did you get them from that Goodstuffs website?

I'm buying that Tissot after working a shit-ton of OT (almost paid for it in one loooooong shift). If I get another good OT run, that Seagull Tourbillon isn't that much more than the Tissot, and I may go for it.

Or I may go for Tissot's worldtime heritage reissue next...

But tourbillon...

My 819.351 (master control lookalike) was bought used from someone on watchuseek, who got it from the official US Seagull distributor I think. I bought an automatic Shanghai (as a present for someone) and later the skeleton from good-stuffs. The guy who runs goodstuffs sells seagull straps and metal bracelets too, I bought a black and a brown alligator band to match belts/shoes.

I made a little money gambling on Wall Street but not much since I don't have that much money to gamble with, but if I can keep this performance up and I get "rich", I might buy that Seiko sarb065. Aside from Pateks and Grand Seikos and tourbillons that's the one that comes to mind when I get watch-lust.

I'm getting the 'make my own watch' bug as well. Pretty serious. I'll be taking a part-time intro jewelry course in March or April as well as lost wax casting. Then I want to learn enamel work (grand feu émail in watch-speak, usually cloisonné) for dials. Coupled with my machining background, I want to be able to make my own precious metal cases, enamelled dials, hands, buckles and bracelets.

I've found a non-ÉTA (non-Soprod, non-Sellita, as well) Swiss movement supplier that does low MOQ's, including a very thin automatic with micro-rotor for ~$2000 CAD.

Hmm...

Gold plated Hirsch buckle already on my watch: ~$7

Gold plated authentic Omega buckle from authorized dealer: $60

Getting to handle a Patek Phillipe while waiting for the Omega buckle to be installed: priceless (well maybe like $20-$30k...)

Edit:

Better, but $60 better?

Just saw this thread now.

Here's my most recent addition. Hard to get any cooler than black on black.

I could definitely use a black on black watch and that one looks very nice. Getting kind of sick of my black and gold Nixon.
