Any PC Gamers Around?

Have recently gotten back into the division. My god. So many of the PvP elements are horribly broken. They need to take the Destiny approach to it.

The destiny approach is boring. I grinded that game from launch to just before the first dlc. The pvp in that game is solid but it only takes 1-2 days of good rng grinding to get the best shit in the game once you've maxed the light level out of your first character. I feel like bethesda has a really bad track record for multiplayer games at this point though. The division was extremely fun for the first month I played it but i lost interest so fast

What does Bethesda have to do with either game?

Fact of the matter is, as a casual player, I cannot hack it in the Division. It's really unfortuate I can't boot up a game of Skirmish or Last Stand and at least help my team out. Instead, I dump mag after mag into enemies, only to do next to no damage, and then get killed in less than 5 seconds. There needs to be some sort of level playing field, instead of being able/ having the desire to dump countless hours into the game and faithfully grinding to get whatever the current meta is, depending on nerfs and buffs. Destiny was really good at that. Where you could be reasonably new, without top loot and be able to at least help your team in some form, and maybe kill the fully kitted out player.

At least there's lots to do end game wise with The Division, that doesn't involve PvP

At least there's lots to do end game wise with The Division, that doesn't involve PvP

My bad, got Ubisoft and Bethesda mixed up. I do agree with you on that. I never understood why TD pvp was based around that sort of system without having at least some alternative game mode where the stats of your weapons are somewhat irrelevant. I actually never took the time to finish TD in terms of the story and all of that. Destiny is a good game as well don't get me wrong, the story and all is good but for $60 it's just an empty game. the end game in that game is such a joke.

You only get rewards once a week for the activities that you'll probably end up playing 20-30 times in one week if you really enjoy them. The pvp in that game is much more competitive based though.

I didn't like the Metro games. Well, I tried one of them. I made it past the first fight. Got bored by the second. Steam money wasted. I just bought Mad Max. Hope it's fun. I'm looking forward to Wasteland 3.

I have a pair of Sennheiser headphones I bought when I was 13. Bar Mitzvah cash FTMFW! They're still dramatically better than any cheap pair I've picked up. 27 years old.

Now that cryptocurrency has tanked hopefully that will help. Also saw that AMD is looking at producing cards specifically aimed at mining to relieve some of the pressure.

I remember my parents talking about the power mac they bought for my brother and I around 1994 or so. Cost them $3000 back then.

Yep. That would be about $5K in today's money. An 8 mb Voodoo card could easily run you $300 to $400 in 1990s dollars. I don't even want to remember what it cost to upgrade to 8 meg of RAM back then.
