Glad it's not just me. I was beginning to feel like and old man yelling at the kids to get off his law.

This thing is going to be outpaced by pretty mcuh every other RWD competitor - except the MX5 Miata - so they better be enjoying themselves because if you are concerned about the fastest way around a track the FRS/BRZ is the wrong car for you.

I was expecting an all inspiring racing video but got hey look we are coming soon to Formula D. It's still cool video nonetheless but I gotta say they have to do more than just drifting.

![]() Vid was great... I think most of us got bored of seeing that FRS drift. For me, I didn't mind watching it. BTW, no one notice that, Ken's FRS body was still stock? I don't think it was widebody also it still had turn sig on the front bumper... or am I just crazy? Quote:

). I never understood metallic black. It ALWAYS looks dusty. As far as the drifting haters: 1) It is their target market (at least image-wise) and tries to make Scion look more "extreme" and "performance oriented" so us enthusiasts forget about their other cars. 2) It emphasizes the RWD nature of the platform. 3) It makes a pretty slow car (stock) look like it is going fast. Getting a "grip" car to look like it is right on the edge (like WOW's video) is a lot harder to do visually that just grabbing the eBrake Finally, I just have to say Scion/Greddy need a much better livery designer! |

The editing was done pretty well and is effective at hyping up the FR-S and the drift event. Price leaks and vids like this after months of nothing but drought coming down the pipe are always welcome.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like drifting needs to stay in rally. I'd much rather see the fr-s actually doing laps, not just sliding around at Laguna Seca.

I am pretty sure that the FR-S/BRZ will be competitive in its class at SCCA and NASA events as long as they do not have oiling issues with the Subaru engine. Hopefully, someone will campaign them in the Continental Tire ST class where they can run against Minis, Miatas, Mazda3s, 1 series BMW, Civics and the like.
Drifting is OK. It is kind of like Monster trucks to me. What I really want to see is this car on a road race couse at speed. |
