A conclusion with no facts

"Lots of folks..."
"...justifying Scion/BRZ Premium..."
Paranoid? Buyer's Remorse?

I reviewed all of the previous posts prior to the quoted post below and there was just one mention of the Premium model and that post was merely being specific about a material, that being from the BRZ Premium. The only other vehicle mentioned was the S2000. Also, some drivers being phat or having a "big butt".

It is not whether it is from a Premium model or the Limited model. Altho I have a Premium model I may very well have purchased a Limited model were it not 'limited' (no pun intended) to the leather/Alcantara material. This factor was a major decision-maker for me.

Leather will wear, but the Leather/Alcantara seats always still look nicer than the standard cloth seats. The leather on the seats are not of low quality, it is decent overall, and quite good if considering the price level of the car.

And the statement about Alcantara wearing poorly is untrue. One of the main benefits to Alcantara is that it is wear and stain resistant. Another benefit is that is very easy to clean. I have had Alcantara on two other cars and they still look fresh and nice.

I don't mind the cloth seats, they're quite good and supportive. However, the leather/alcantara seats take it up a notch and are nicer.

I think the bolsters are going to be a heavy wear item for both Premiums and Limiteds.. Hopefully we'll have fair priced facory replacement available when the time comes to swap them out.

The topic is leather seat wear. Having an opinion and discussion of leather, cloth, or alcantara is expected in a thread about seats. Even the OP said "Damn Leather!!!" shortly into the discussion and he owns a Limited.

It went off-topic after saying Premium and FRS owners were purportedly justifying their purchases. That is what had nothing to do with the topic, not the material.

Left side bolster will always have more wear from getting in and out. Try reclining the seat when you're gettin out?

I wish there was a full leather option for the Limited. Didn't like the alcantara as much as I thought.

Never sat in the Premium but the cloth seats look very nice if they are like other Subaru seating.

"Less than 20 minutes after the thread was posted and within the 2nd reply, there was a post about how great cloth seats are and how leather sucks."

Wadaya expect from a poster that has a monkey as an avatar? Now we have two monkeys (MONKEEDOO). They are just being protective about themselves, i.e. monkey leather. Nothin' wrong with that.

And re-read the topic. Less than 20 minutes after the thread was posted and within the 2nd reply, there was a post about how great cloth seats are and how leather sucks. Then you quoted him to talk about how great your cloth Premium seats are and how much more leather sucks. And there are a few other posts which follow along the same gist.

And all of this is in a topic which has nothing to do with cloth seats.

Preferably perforated leather. The alcantara doesn't feel like it breathes AT ALL.

It's gross how sweaty my thighs get even wearing shorts with A/C on.

I read this yesterday and was like.... "WHAT?"

Then I took a look around and found that rubberized piece, I even tried to use it. Nope no way will that work for me. I think I am not shaped right, It felt like I was trying to touch the ground to lift my self out of the car. I am gonna stick with the pull myself toward the steering wheel and lift my legs as much as possible method.

my 2013 Lexus GS350 only had 3700 miles on it when i sold it. i already saw the leather starting to crease
i did condition/wipe it down with the leather thing couple times and the car was a garage queen
im a slim/light guy and i was careful when getting in and out of the car too

I love my leather, alcantra, keyless start, functional spoiler, heated seats, and nice looking climate control.

Suck it trebeck. Seriously some people (like me) want all the options, looking at a blank place knowing a button belongs there but there isn't one because I was cheap over a couple thousand would bother me the entire time I owned the car. Others don't mind. Good for them, good for me. The only thing that means is we both got the car we wanted, it doesn't mean your decision was better or smarter.
