I'm still convinced after doing math compairing WRX STI pricing difference between Japan and USA that the BRZ is going to start around $26,000-ish

yes, but I'm explaining I came up with a price difference percentage between the US model STI Limited and the JP model STI Limited and found there is a 11.7% pricing difference when you transfer currency from yuen to dollars. I took the conversion dollars of $44,750.38 and used it to divide the $38,195 a US model costs, the division works out to an 11.7% difference in price. It came out the same for Legacy Limited pricing as well.

My bad... I got all excited and giddy

I posted this on **************.com a while a go, thought I would share. "Ok, so all this talk about price has been driving me nuts! I keep worrying that the car I'm waiting with bated breath for is all of sudden going to be out of the price range I want to spend. I did a little experiment just to see what I could figure out. I started by comparing prices of Subarus on the Japanese site and the US site and what I found was a lot of the similar cars price ranged from 25-30% lower in the US. So, for benefit of the doubt we will assume 25% to be worst case scenario. After some bad math I come up with roughly $25,934 for the limited and $23,009 for the premium. I'm not sure what options actually comes on the R and S in Japan but it seems like Alcantara and Nav unit are add-on so if we say the cost of the missing options are $1,500 that would put the prices at, again very roughly, $27,500 and $24,500. So, that at least makes me feel a bit better"

Also, talked to the dealer a little today and they said they should know all about pricing and release by the end of the month. Fingers crossed.

My dealer said that last month, lol.
Your logic is solid on the price though, I'm pretty confident the car will be around the range you said.
