I will fix it when the car returns home in November, unless it comes home before

Sounds like it needs to be adjusted. I'm lowered about 1.5-2" and running the V1 (at nearly its lowest mounting point) and don't scrape.

You are correct, I am not blaming the diffuser, I just never tested (speed bumps) before sending her back to college with it. I will address the mounting height.

Let me know when you get hands on the car, I'd like to know where it's scraping maybe I can offer a solution.

The two center fins.
The stock exhaust doesn't go through the cutout hole in the diffuser, the diffuser is as high as I could mount it (the two holes at the sway bar mounts) without touching the exhaust pipe.
I assume I will have to cut a slot, slightly wider than the exhaust pipe, to allow the diffuser to clear and be mounted higher.
That will be 66 days from now, at the earliest.

I have an altered mounting scheme too, and the OEM exhaust is touching the diffuser (Type 2). Right now I'm letting it deflect the diffuser, with some high temp thermal barrier padding between exhaust and diffuser. It's pushing it down 1/4" or so, but the OEM exhaust will be leaving, hopefully soon.

I'm only dropped 1", and have not had any issues, but again, this is a Type 2 with the traditional style strakes.

Go for it! I encourage further modding to make things fit your specific needs.

I do it with nearly every part I get for my car.

It will with modification to the diffuser.

I am working on picking up a type 80 to build a specific fitment for it.

Have it shipped to me first, then I'll send it down along with your diffuser. Hahahaha
