Thank You bro! Did you end up using the larger gasket that came with the turbo or the smaller one that probably came with the exhaust (I used the larger gasket)

LoL....you sure the smell you're getting is not because of the catless system? That pungent smell tends to stick to fabric (clothes, interior) for a little while, hence could be the reason why you're still smelling it whilst driving.

I actually used stacked vibrant gaskets. They worked like a charm. The standard gasket wasn't thick enough so the overpipe flanges were pulling at each other

Take your pick

http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...1022_1068_1126

I find the AVO gaskets are very thin with a pretty weak looking blast ring. The Vibrant ones have a lot more "meat" to them.

Need to order some Nord Lock washers. Can anyone tell me if the manifold-to-engine flange bolt/stud is an M8 or M10?

I used two at each overpipe flange. I found that the overpipe was the one taking the stress since it's mounted to a header stud now.

I also used double nuts on those flanges

The smell itself is caused by the cat-less system. The problem is the odor coming into the cabin vents. The exhaust outlet itself is well away from the cabin air inlet so when you're smelling gases it's because they are collecting under the hood and that means a leak somewhere near engine compartment itself.

Also keep in mind these fumes are not also stinky, they're dangerous because they are non-catalyzed so there's a *LOT* more carbon-monoxide. It's a serious health and safety issue and one I need to fix.

There's also vents behind the rear bumper. Perhaps the smell could have come through there? But anyway I ge what you're saying and you should sort this out ASAP. Have u tried the soapy water trick?

Anyone have any issues with the pulley hitting the charge pipe on medium-hard braking?

Mine makes quite a bad noise. Any solutions?
