Just recently I saw a torn down chevy motor with carbon built up all over its valve springs, cams, chambers, etc. That stuff felt like mud. Blow by ain't no joke!

And no I didn't buy the pc kit. I'd get the pc kit for the radium can mounted near the battery though, just to make it easier for you.

Did you install a check valve anywhere in the system?

No I haven't, although a good source told me that it'll be a good idea to install one right after the oil catch can filtering. What is the purpose of one if you don't mind me asking? To check if it's working properly?

Haha. The point is to only allow air to flow one way. In a boosted application that hose gets pressurized trying to force air into your catch can and crankcase. A check valve prevents that and only allows air to be pulled from the catch can and crankcase into the intake manifold in vacuum situations.

Which check valve do you recommend using? And where should I fit them if using the AVO breather?

By the way I'm confused about how to hook up the 3 ports on the breather tank. I can see from pictures that 2 of the ports will be used to connect to the breather. But what about the rear PCV to intake manifold? I'm assuming something needs to be blocked off then?

It's recommended but not necessary. Like King Tut said, you'll be pushing air into your breather and crank case without one.

They're literally a couple of dollars on Ebay.

I don't remember the exact measurement needed, sorry. Measure the inside diameter of the hose to be 100% sure. Or do what I did and order 1 of every sizes in that range because they're so cheap

EDIT: Based on another thread on these boards, 3/8" is what you want it seems
