Yeah, problem is looking for 1/2" is giving me nothing but BSP (plumbing) stuff. Think shiny metal with nice screw on hose adapters. Guess 3/8" might have to do.

Ok so after 550 Bucks and a day without my car, the shop installed also the AVO breather tank. So the overfilling reservoir should not happen again.

^^ Glad to hear you got it sorted. My next big expense will be a clutch... I hope it happens next year by choice and not this fall by "Kaboom"

Since we're talking about catchcans, I have the AVO can and I haven't quite figured out how I'm expected to empty the thing or even check how much fluid is trapped in there. Am I missing something? Do I disconnect it, turn it upside down and wait?

For how long should I let the engine idle to let the turbine downspool after driving? On my old Impreza I let the engine idle for about 30 sec before shutting it down.

I usually let the engine idle between 30-60 secs depending on my driving

I am so stoked. My 2014 is @ The Drift Office for the next week getting an AVO and a stage 3 comp clutch. I am driving my Jeep for the next few days. I haven't taken it out since I got the BRZ 3 months ago. Holy crap does it feel weird. Really looking forward to the end of the week.

Just a random question for everyone... actually probably has been asked about 5-6 million times, but what is the estimated cost for an install of the AVO kit, just the basic kit and ECUtek tune. I know the kit ranges in price from $4000-$4500, plus ecutek cable and license. I am technically inclined but I won't be doing this install... just for piece of mind.

I'm looking at a base kit... this is my DD but a few extra ponies would be nice. 91 octane tune is ideal.

Probably throw in an oil cooler for reliability. Looking for 230-250 hp, nothing special.

Just trying to get ballpark ideas for costs. thanks

plus I have the benefit of being near Drift Office... well for the next two months at least

I figure no more than 16 hours at a standard labor rate of $75/hr would put you at $1,200 for the install. I would become technically inclined, but that is just me.

That's not too bad... figured about a grand. No, Ive never done a turbo kit so I'll let the pro do this one. I can do more than the basics when it comes to automotive work but this just seems outside my comfort level. I want it done right the first time and the peace of mind

Not a bad decision really Seeings how only real issues on this kit seem to be revolved around installs.
